This site has been created on the occasion of Dr BB Appaji (Coach of the IIT-B hockey team) turning 60 and in advance of the Alumni Sports Day 2014 planned for 12 Oct 2014.

Appaji has been the coach for many generations of IITB students —- many of whom learnt hockey for the first time at IITB.

Besides a good game of hockey, evenings of physical exertion, fun with friends and a distraction from studies, Hockey at IITB was a story of pushing oneself, passion, team spirit and pursuit of a challenge. Appaji made that all possible — in a quiet and unassuming way.

All IIT-B alumni who have interacted with and learnt from Appaji are requested to send in their messages, memories and old photographs to premnathv@gmail.com for compilation on this blog.
